Tonight I was lucky enough to have dinner with a friend on my deck, watch the Sox lose and enjoy a couple Sam Summer Brews. You really can't complain (besides the whole Sox thing, which was a good game) about a night like that.

Just reflecting now as we are recording - and things are going well. The songs are coming out killer through the basic tracking process. This is probably the most boring aspect, especially through my drumming parts, but it is flowing well. Becker flies in for a late July vocal session and then we are back to playing some shows.

Happy to be doing what I'm doing in a band. I virtually ran into an old friend who has music as a big part of his life, and I saw a bunch of pictures of him tonight, and he's never smiling. I'm smiling, baby....happy to be where I am.

- T-$

BYC 12.21.07

BYC 12.21.07
Originally uploaded by Thumbprint Railway Co..

WEDNESDAY

Intarwubs

TRCo. have extended our virtual grasp into the world of Facebook. Between now and the mid-late fall we will be holed up practicing and demoing some new songs. We hope to emerge with a second EP of five or six songs recorded for our triumphant return to the stage. We are working already to get those first shows in the books, and will post more when we know.

If you are a Cape Cod resident, come down to Sweet Tomatoes in Falmouth on Tuesday nights. Our friends have been holding an open mic night, and to say the least, it is all happening. This Tuesday Tommy will be playing, backed up by Scott and friend Mike Bushy. This trio of gentlemen (The Turtleshell All-Stars) will be taking the stage the next few weeks, with the frontman rotating. Next week Mike; week three Scott. The plan was to canoe, but the word "death" was used in conjunction with the word "drowning" as the River Sherpas informed us about the impending inclimate weather.

So, we decided to forego the boating, and instead holed up at a closed campground with our friends, Turtle, Tuna Time, Dr. Gonzo, Vision Quest Koller, Riverboat Bri, and The RB. They all slept in on Saturday while The Co. awoke to watch the sunrise.

We have returned from the wilderness re-energized and ready to play. Over the next two months The Co. plans on painting the Northeast with its many and varied beards as brushes. We will be playing more between now and mid-July than we have in the last two years, and we will be doing it all with the help of our new friend Tonye at Blaster Monkey Promotions. Tonye has been a Saint in the City (or rural New England countryside), grabbing us up into his clutches and finding ways to work us into to bills at clubs in very high regard. We are in his debt.

New shows are posted to the right, along with contact information for BMP. Get in touch and get away from big buildings and cell phones for a few days. It is good for the soul.

xo,
TRCo.

What Light?

The BYC show went very well, thank you for asking. We saw some old friends and met new ones via our fellow soldiers THE DON'T, THE SUBURBAN SKY, and THE REMNANTS. Gentlemen and scholars all, they are.

The show was such a smashing success that the good people of The Bulfinch Yacht Club have asked us back again. We keep thinking we will wear out our welcome, but they just keep having us back for more. We will be returning to the fine establishment on July 12. We will impart more details as they arise.

The band has been spinning wheels and making moves like never before. We are gearing up for a summer schedule that harkens back to our younger days of driving to play shows in rank vans with rusty wheels every weekend. Look for us coming to you soon Eastern Seaboard Town.

The summer shennanigans should take us into the late summer when we welcome _______________________ (Tommy's baby) as the newest member of The Company. When _____________________________ finally has the guts to show his/her face, The Co. plans on hunkering down for an autumn recording new tracks.

So that is our plan.
